Sarah ~ We're going to have to start doing these by-weekly. It seems like we only find great things every other weekend. This past weekend it was raining so much we assumed most yard sales would be canceled, but we decided to go to one in particular.
Alex ~ I found an ad online that read something like "Garage Sale - Comics - DVDs" and it was only a block from our place.
Alex ~ Sometimes it pays off to do your research! I spent a little more than I would have liked but everything was nearly new and I had been looking for some of these titles for a while now.
Sarah ~ I didn't find anything at the sale and I was annoyed that they didn't price anything. The stuff seemed high quality but nothing I was interested in. Also when Alex bought PeeWee's Playhouse the guy kept saying it was rare and we knew it was not. As we were driving away from that sale to run some errands we ran into another sale down the street. It had a tarp to keep the rain out.
Alex ~ The second garage sale had a pile of stereo gear and they were asking $5 for each piece. I snatched up a Kenwood amplifier and a stereo graphic equalizer $10. I should have probably bought some of the tape decks but I ran out of money because of the previous sale.
Alex ~ Here's a picture of my stereo system. Everything has been purchased from a sale except for the turntables.
Sarah~ We did not spend much time garage sailing this week but it was time well spent. My only regret is that Alex bought another stupid lava lamp which he has already in a different colour. We wont be garage sailing this weekend because we are going to a cabin. See you in a few weeks!
